Northern Lights shooting

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX10 and want to know how to get decent pics of the Northern Lights with it. I hope there are some simple instructions that don't require a great deal of camera knowledge or complicated adjustments. Anything more than auto focus is a challenge for me. Thanks for any help or advice you may have.
